How placements are confirmed
We start with a trial day
Before a placement is confirmed, we invite you in for a single trial day. It is a typical clinic day, giving you the opportunity to see how we work, meet the team and consider whether veterinary practice suits you.
The trial day also helps us. It allows us to see how a student settles into a busy clinic environment and helps ensure each placement is a good fit for everyone. Many students find the trial day helps them feel more comfortable before their placement begins.
What you may observe
Depending on the day and your level of training, you may observe consultations, patient care, cleaning and infection control, laboratory workflows, imaging, surgery preparation and client-care processes.
